HOW TO PLAY
🎯 The goal: You are the last hope for 20 very broken, very funny, very suicidal NPCs. Talk them out of it. Stabilize every survivor (hope ≥ 90) to win. Let them all die and it's game over.
❤️ Hope meters: Every NPC has a hope meter — watch the bars in the sidebar. Engage them, listen, match their dark humor, be kind — hope goes up. Insult them, ignore them, or let time pass — hope drains.
🚨 Crisis mode: When an NPC's hope gets low they announce it. You have a short window to talk them down. Fail, and you'll get a very detailed popup about exactly how they did it. Their photo gets a red ✕.
💬 Channels: Click any NPC to DM them 1-on-1. Use ＋ GROUP to drag 2–4 NPCs into a private group chat. They'll argue, gossip, and steal each other's jokes.
🗣️ Name-drops: Mention an NPC by name in the public chat — “randy, you okay?” — and they'll answer you. And everyone else in the room will have opinions about it.
🧠 Memory & gossip: NPCs remember what you tell them and blab about it in the public channel. Tell one a secret — the whole room will know by lunch.
💡 Tips: Empathy words like love, sorry, stay, here, worth hit hard. Calling someone a useless piece of shit hits harder (in the bad way). The clock never stops — but an NPC you're actively talking to stops decaying.
