CRT//95: Digital Underground is a 100% offline HTML5 hacking simulation adventure set in a fictional 1995 city called Newport. You play as a young computer enthusiast with a beige 486DX2-66 computer, a 14.4K modem, and a growing suspicion that someone is watching everyone's data.

The Story

Main Quest:

You stumble upon mysterious files pointing to PROJECT95 - a massive conspiracy involving:

 

The GATEKEEPER - A predictive monitoring system tracking citizen behavior

Omega Research - A shadowy "data services" company with no public listing

Three Keys - You must collect three critical files:

PROJECT95.DAT (from Omega Research)

TRANSFER.LOG (from Metro Banking)

SWITCH.LOG (from Pacific Telecom)

Meet and interact with memorable hackers on the Nexus BBS:

 

MOTH - The friendly BBS sysop who guides newcomers

STATIC - Runs the invite-only Darkstar BBS

DIALTONE - Phone phreaking specialist

Multiple Endings:

Once you collect all three keys and access "The Vault" (555-0150), you face a critical choice:

 

EXPOSE - Leak the conspiracy to the public

JOIN - Accept an offer to work for the system

BURN - Destroy the GATEKEEPER entirely (requires GATEKEEPER.EXE payload)

You can also get an ARRESTED ending if your heat reaches 6 before completing the mission.
