Kingdom Rule — Full Game Description
Overview
Kingdom Rule is a single-player, god simulation strategy game where you play as the God of Fire, a divine being worshipped by a medieval kingdom called Ashvale. The game is a 100% offline, browser-based sandbox simulation with no image assets—everything is procedurally drawn using Canvas 2D graphics.
Core Concept
You are an omnipotent deity observing your kingdom from above. The King worships you and must obey your commands, but he also has his own personality, schedule, and decision-making. Your role is to:
Command the King to execute royal decrees
Use powerful God Powers to directly intervene in the world
Manage the kingdom's treasury, happiness, faith, crime, and army
Survive threats like plagues, wars, revolts, and starvation
Game Mechanics
The Divine Eye
You control a cursor representing your divine presence
Move the camera with WASD/Arrow keys or mouse-edge panning
Scroll to zoom in and out
Your presence is visible to NPCs who may react to your actions
Kingdom Stats (HUD)
🪙 Treasury — Gold coins for funding operations
👥 Population — Number of living subjects
😊 Happiness — Citizen morale (affects revolts)
🔥 Faith — Belief in you, the God of Fire (affects obedience)
⚔️ Army — Military strength for battles
Day & Time — The kingdom operates on a 24-hour cycle with day/night
Crime — Criminal activity level
God Powers (Keys 1-7)
You have 7 divine powers to directly shape the world:
⚡ Smite — Strike any NPC dead instantly with lightning (works on anyone)
☣ Plague — Unleash a deadly plague mist that sickens and kills
✨ Heal — Cure sickness and restore health to an NPC
👁 Divine Command — Click an NPC to inspect and interact with them
🔥 Inferno — Rain blazing fire on a location, burning enemies and scorching the ground
🌟 Bless — Fully heal an NPC and grant them a holy blessing (boosts mood, faith, loyalty)
🌾 Plenty — Bless the harvest instantly, granting gold and happiness to the kingdom
All powers have visual effects (fire particles, lightning bolts, divine sparkles, plague mist, etc.).
Commanding the King
Press the 👑 Command King button to open the Player Hub, where you can issue royal decrees:
King Commands
Public Execution — Order a prisoner beheaded on the chopping block (crowd watches)
Throw in Dungeon — Imprison any NPC for a random crime
Hold Feast — Increase happiness by hosting a royal banquet
Worship Ceremony — Boost faith with a grand prayer event
Declare War — Attack a rival kingdom (triggers battle sequences)
Set Laws — Enact policies like High Taxes, Conscription, Mandatory Worship, Curfew, Austerity, Weekly Festivals, or Debtors' Amnesty
Raise/Lower Taxes — Adjust tax rates to balance income vs. happiness
The King will sometimes ask you for advice on major decisions (executions, taxes, feasts, worship). You can approve or deny his requests.
NPC AI & Roles
The kingdom is populated by living NPCs with names, stats, and behaviors:
Roles
King — The ruler who prays, holds court, feasts, and makes decrees. His faith and loyalty determine obedience.
Guards & Soldiers — Patrol, defend the kingdom, escort prisoners, fight in battles.
Priest — Prays at the altar, conducts worship ceremonies.
Executioner — Carries out public beheadings.
Jailer — Guards the dungeon cells.
Servants — Tend to the castle, set tables, clean.
