Lands of Chaos is a first-person, grid-based dungeon crawler RPG set in the dying kingdom of Aetherfall, where you lead a company of heroes on a quest to recover the Sundered Crown and restore the realm's fading light.

Core Story & Setting

The game is set at Alderwatch Keep, the last bastion of light in a crumbling kingdom. Regent Aveline has been cursed and the realm's crown has been stolen by Nyxara, the Hollow Queen. You must:

Gather three mystical ingredients to cure the regent (silver moonleaf, ember heart, and mire pearl)

Use the Lens of Dawn to reveal Nyxara's true form

Recover the Sundered Crown from the Hollow Citadel

Defeat various enemies and bosses guarding the path

Exploration:

First-person 3D perspective using WebGL/Three.js

Two movement modes: Classic (grid-based with Q/E turning) and Modern (smooth WASD + mouse look)

6 distinct zones: Alderwatch Keep, Briarwood Wilds, The Drowned Fen, Emberdeep Mine, The Hollow Citadel, plus expansion areas

Interactive objects: NPCs, chests, levers, portals, shrines, crystals, and gates

Party System:

Choose from 4 unique heroes with distinct stats and roles:

Elara (Wayfinder): Balanced ranger with bow specialization

Rowan (Oathkeeper): Durable knight with high HP and protection

Soren (Dawnweaver): Mage with vast mana reserves

Brann (Runesmith): Mountain dwarf with heavy weapons

Recruit up to 3 total party members who fight autonomously alongside you

Companions follow you in formation and act independently in combat

Switch between party members to control different heroes

Combat System:

Real-time combat with cooldown-based attacks

Melee weapons (swords, daggers, axes, hammers) for close range

Ranged weapons (bows) that consume arrows

5 elemental spells with 4 power levels:

Star Spark: Reliable ranged damage

Mending Light: Heals and revives fallen heroes

Winter's Grasp: Ice damage + 3-second stun

Ember Storm: Powerful fire attack

Stormcall: Lightning that chains to nearby enemies

Skill progression system (Fighter, Rogue, Mage) that improves through use

Boss battles with unique mechanics (dragon breath attacks, protective wards)

Inventory management with quick-access belt

Consumables: crimson tonics (health), azure draughts (mana), bitterroot balm (poison cure)
