The Premise

You are the last hope for 20 deeply broken, darkly funny NPCs trapped in a crisis chat room. Your mission: talk them down from the edge before their hope runs out. Every character is intelligent, damaged, and armed with gallows humor. There's no save system. Every playthrough is a fresh nightmare.

Core Gameplay

Hope Management: Each NPC has a draining hope meter. Active conversation stops the decay; neglect them and they spiral.

Crisis Mode: When hope drops critically low, NPCs announce their crisis. You have a narrow window to use empathy and save them.

Death System: If hope hits zero, the NPC dies—complete with a detailed, absurdly written death scene popup, a red ✕ over their portrait, and a devastating impact on the remaining survivors.

Win/Lose Conditions: Win by stabilizing every survivor (hope ≥ 90). Lose if everyone dies.

Social Dynamics

Public Channel: All 20 NPCs in one chaotic chat room

1-on-1 DMs: Click any portrait to have private conversations

Group Chats: Create private groups (2-4 NPCs) and watch them argue, gossip, and steal each other's jokes

Memory & Gossip: NPCs remember what you tell them and spread secrets across the public channel

Mood Contagion: Deaths lower hope in others; saves inspire hope
