Since 9 October a table of Snakes and Ladders Online seats up to eight, so grandparents, cousins and kids can all play at one board.
Eight counters on one 100-square board brought a smaller problem: after a throw the die landed on top of somebody, and you could not see where you were. The die now comes to rest away from the counters.

Also new:
- The 3D board keeps its tilt on iPhones, where it used to go flat.
- Dark mode draws the garden at night: two mossy greens, a gold finish and pale numbers.
- Chat and names are filtered for swear words.
A game takes 10 to 25 minutes, there are no decisions to make, and square 100 must be hit exactly. It also plays at playboardit.com.
