In September we ran a fact-check over the question bank behind Trivia Tavern, and it found wrong answers. A quiz with wrong answers is worse than no quiz: the person who knew the right answer loses the point and stops trusting the game.
So we rebuilt the bank from scratch rather than patch it. The game now plays nearly 4,000 questions across 9 categories, written for the game and checked, and every older row is retired from play.

The table changed too:
- On a short phone held upright, the seats, the question and all four answers fit without scrolling.
- The round break and the final podium dim the table but keep Leave, sound and How to play within reach.
- Seat names sit on a small dark chip under the tavern lamp, so they stay readable in light and dark mode.
Scoring is unchanged: everyone answers on their own device, quick right answers score a little more, and the last round counts double. Up to 8 players; it also runs at playboardit.com.
